FAMILY GAME NIGHT: Come play games...all sorts…board games, card games, etc. on Friday, June 18, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Bring a couple of snacks to share and games you want to introduce to others. Come for an hour or stay for the evening!
FARMER’S MARKET: Holy Cross is hosting a booth at the Carlisle Farmer’s Market. Our next time is Saturday, June 19.  Contact Pastor Johnson if you can help.
HIGHER THINGS BIBLE STUDY AND FAMILY MEETING: Youth attending the Higher Things Conference in July, as well as their parents, are encouraged to attend a Bible Study and family meeting on Saturday, June 19, at 10 a.m.
COOKOUT: Come for a cookout next Sunday, June 20, at the shelter house. Bring your own meat for grilling and a dish to share. Feel free to bring outdoor games and board games too. Everyone is welcome.
FAMILY VBS:  All are welcome to FAMILY VBS Wednesday and Thursday night, June 23rd & 24th, from 6:30-8:00. Vespers begins at 6:30, light refreshment and instruction for the whole family to follow the service. In celebration of the anniversary of the presentation of the Augsburg Confession, we will study the chief articles of Lutheran doctrine--justification and the marks of the church!
CELEBRATION OF PRESENTATION OF AUGSBURG CONFESSION:   Peace Lutheran Church, (5615 SW 14th Street, Des Moines), invites you to celebrate the 496th Anniversary of the Presentation of the Augsburg Confession on Friday, June 25, 5:00 at p.m.  There will be a devotion focusing on the meaning of the day.  Following the devotion will be a light supper, with homemade ice cream. Bring a dish to share and a white elephant gift (wrapped).
FELLOWSHIP:  The youth are currently hosting fellowship between the Divine Service and Sunday School. Donations support the youth’s trip to the Higher Things Conference in Fort Collins, Colorado in July.
YOUTH CONCERT:  Mark your calendars for the Youth Concert on Sunday, June 27, beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Enjoy a presentation of hymns performed by the youth from Advent, Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Trinity and more!  Free will offering supports the Youth for their upcoming trip to the Higher Things Conference in Fort Collins, CO.
FUNNEL CAKE STAND: Holy Cross hosts a funnel cake stand every year at the Carlisle Fourth of July celebration on July 3 and 4 at North Park. Watch for more details and signup sheets.
