ORGAN DEDICATION: TODAY, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church & Music Conservatory in Council Bluffs will be hosting a program and reception to dedicate their renovated pipe organ. The event begins at 4:00pm. Speak with Jeremiah if you are interested.

JULEE SWANSON FUNERAL: Previous member, Julee Swanson, passed away on January 14th. Visitation is Tuesday, January 20th from 5-7pm at Iles Westover Chapel. The funeral service will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Des Moines on Wednesday, January 21st at 11am with lunch to follow. View the obituary here.

DINE & DANCE EVENT: Please join us next Sunday for a 3-course meal interspersed with learning English Country dances. No previous experience is required, as steps are called out. You do not need a partner to participate. Dances are easy enough for kids to join as well!

INSTALLATION: You are invited to the installation of Rev. Peter Hoft at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Polk City. The installation service is Sunday, February 1st at 2pm with a meal to follow. RSVP by January 23rd by calling 515-984-6146.

THANK YOU: Kathy Dee and her family have taken over the responsibility of the local food pantry which is stored here at Holy Cross. They have been helping me for the past year and will continue to be here the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month to help the people who use the food  pantry,  along with  stocking the shelves and checking the dates of the items that are donated. My heartfelt thanks to them.  -Waneta Johnson.

CPR CLASS: We are planning to host a free CPR class in February. The training includes a student workbook and a 2-year certification card.  If you are interested, please let Allison Doying know. We need 10 people signed up in order to schedule the class.

125TH CELEBRATION: You're Invited to Trinity Lutheran Church's 125th Anniversary Events! To kick off our celebratory events in 2026, we invite you to attend a catered German Dinner and special program on February 15th at 4:00pm. A free-will donation can be made at the door. Please RSVP by February 1st for the meal.
Our grand Anniversary Celebration is on Sunday June 7th, 2026!  A special recognition church service will be held at 10:00am with a meal and program following. The event will feature special guests, worship, and a program. END ABORTION CONFERENCE: End Abortion Iowa is a 501c organization composed of Bible-believing Christians from various Protestant denominations across the state of Iowa. Their goal is to obtain equal protection for the unborn through the total abolition and criminalization of abortion in our state.  End Abortion Iowa is hosting a conference on Friday, January 30th and Saturday, January 31st.
