SERVING FELLOWSHIP NEXT WEEK: K. Dee & C. Williamson

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES:
March 21 – Fellowship card night 6:00pm
March 23 – Dine & Dance following Bible study

SEASON OF LENT: The word “Lent” comes from the old English word lencten. This season begins with Ash Wednesday, and runs for 40 days, until Easter. The Paraments for Lent are purple, except for the Fourth Sunday, Laetare Sunday, which is rose. The Gloria In Excelsis and the Alleluias before the Gospel are omitted. The Verse, Christ Hath Humbled Himself, is sung each Sunday before the Gospel.

DEVOTIONS FOR LENT: are available from Steadfast Lutherans. There are a few copies on the table at the entrance of the nave, or you can access it online using this link.

GET YOUR DANCING SHOES ON! The Ladies’ Guild is hosting a delightful banquet interspersed with learning group dances. No partner or experience is required! Kids are able to enjoy and participate as well. Plan to join us Sunday, March 23rd following Bible study.

CONTRACT RUMMY ANYONE? We have Fellowship this coming Friday beginning at 6 p.m. Enjoy an exciting game of Contract Rummy. Bring a snack or two to share with the group.

APRIL LADIES’ GUILD: will meet on April 5th at 9:30am. The theme for the day is “Common Threads” which will include a short activity where we learn about things we have in common with each other. All ladies are encouraged to bring their current knitting, sewing, or other crafting project and enjoy fellowship with one another. An alternative activity is organizing the storage room.

PHOTOS ON CHURCH WEBSITE: We are updating the Ladies’ Guild page and adding some group photos from our meetings and events. If you do not want your picture on the website for this or any other event, please let Allison know. No names will be listed with the pictures.

FOOD ALLERGIES: If you have food allergies, an intolerance, or a restriction/ sensitivity, please stop in the office and mark it on the Food Allergen chart. You will not be asked to provide your name. This is to help us label foods during congregational meals and events. Thank you.

THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS: for 2024 will be expiring soon! If you are a Thrivent member, you may be eligible to participate and direct Thrivent Choice Dollars to your favorite ministry. Go to www.thrivent.com/thriventchoice or call 800-847-4836 before March 31 and say, “Thrivent Choice.”
