VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are still in need of the following volunteers:
-Greeter for the 3rd Sundays
-Streaming volunteer for the 4th Sundays
-A few Fellowship servers (ask Allison for dates)
-Driver for Lin for the 2nd and 5th Sundays
-Backup Driver for Lin or Randy
-Drivers for special services

DINE & DANCE EVENT: Please join us for a 3-course meal interspersed with learning English Country dances. No previous experience is required, as steps are called out. You do not need a partner to participate. Dances are easy enough for kids to join as well! If you would like to volunteer to assist with set-up or clean up, or bring an appetizer or dessert, use this link to sign up.
THANK YOU: Kathy Dee and her family have taken over the responsibility of the local food pantry which is stored here at Holy Cross. They have been helping me for the past year and will continue to be here the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month to help the people who use the food pantry, along with stocking the shelves and checking the dates of the items that are donated. CONTRACT RUMMY ANYONE? We have Fellowship this coming Friday beginning at 6 p.m. Enjoy an exciting game of Contract Rummy. Bring a snack or two to share with the group.
CPR CLASS: We are planning to host a free CPR class in February. The training includes a student workbook and a 2-year certification card. If you are interested, please let Allison Doying know. We need 10 people signed up in order to schedule the class.
END ABORTION CONFERENCE: End Abortion Iowa is a 501c organization composed of Bible-believing Christians from various Protestant denominations across the state of Iowa. Their goal is to obtain equal protection for the unborn through the total abolition and criminalization of abortion in our state. End Abortion Iowa is hosting a conference on Friday, January 30th and Saturday, January 31st. Register at: www.endabortioniowa.com.
Y4LIFE SUMMIT: Y4Life is hosting a weekend conference at Concordia University St. Paul on Feb 20-22. It is open to all high school and college age students. Register for free on y4life.org by Feb 10th.
EDUCATING A NEW GENERATION OF LUTHERANS: Issues, Etc. is a podcast and radio talk show produced by Lutheran Public Radio in Collinsville, IL and hosted by LCMS Pastor Todd Wilken. Recent topics include: Stranger Things: Season 5, The Top Biblical Archeology Stories of 2025, The Parable of the Prodigal Son, The Baptism of Our Lord, The Epiphany Season and more. You can listen at your convenience at issuesetc.org.
