A Note from Pastor (August 2025)

It was eight years ago this month that construction began on our newly purchased pipe organ.  The loss of our digital piano by an act of God through a lightning strike on the church, allowed us to consider purchasing and installing an instrument that would be used to assist the congregation in making a “joyful noise” to the Lord during the Divine Service and prayer offices.
At the time, the question arose as to how we could afford to purchase an instrument that would require constant upkeep and regular tuning and maintenance.  Many wondered who would be available to play it since many churches in the LCMS were moving away from traditional hymns and organs and turning to contemporary music and more modern instruments such as pianos, drums and electric guitars.
By the grace of God, our members have given generously to maintain an instrument to match the beauty and solemnity of our liturgy and hymns. He has also generously provided teachers, organists and organ students who were willing to play, learn to play and teach others to play the organ.
Our faithful God has also generously blessed our congregation with a continuous and talented group of students who will eventually be able to use their gifts to benefit other churches. For this we thank and praise our Lord who has provided so generously for us and for others as well!
