Today – Council Meeting

Pre-Lent Season refers to the three weeks immediately before the start of Lent, a period of preparation for the penitential season of Lent where Christians engage in self-reflection and repentance. The paraments are green during the Pre-Lent Season. The Alleluias before the Gospel are omitted.
Septuagesima (Feb 1) The first Sunday is known as Septuagesima. That is a Latin term that means there are approximately 70 days before Easter. This Sunday, we read about God's grace.
Sexagesima (Feb 8) is the name given to the second Sunday. This Latin name denotes that there are about 60 days before Easter. On this Sunday, the focus is on God's Word.
Quinquagesima (Feb 15) The third Sunday is known as Quinquagesima. That is a Latin term that means 50 days before Easter. The focus is on faith. It is the Sunday before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent.

SOUP SUPPER: The Lent soup supper is on Wednesday, Feb 18th from 5:30-6:20pm. If you would like to bring a soup, side, dessert, or milk please use this link to sign up. We will also need volunteers for set up and clean up.  

CPR CLASS: We are planning to host a free CPR class in February. The training includes a student workbook and a 2-year certification card.  If you are interested, please let Allison Doying know.  

125TH CELEBRATION: You're Invited to Trinity Lutheran Church's 125th Anniversary Events! To kick off our celebratory events in 2026, we invite you to attend a catered German Dinner and special program on February 15th at 4:00pm. A free-will donation can be made at the door. Please RSVP by February 1st for the meal.
Our grand Anniversary Celebration is on Sunday June 7th, 2026!  A special recognition church service will be held at 10:00am with a meal and program following. The event will feature special guests, worship, and a program. Y4LIFE SUMMIT: Y4Life is hosting a weekend conference at Concordia University St. Paul on Feb 20-22. It is open to all high school and college age students. Register for free on y4life.org by Feb 10th.
