September 10th Announcements

PASTOR JOHNSON ON VACATION: Pastor Johnson will be on vacation August 26 – September 11.
TABLE TALK…moves back to Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.beginning this week, September 12.  They will be studying Walther’s essay on The True Visible Church.
MEN’S & LADIES’ BIBLE STUDIES…start this Wednesday, September 13.  The men meet at 7:45 a.m. to study the readings for the upcoming Sunday. Ladies meet at 9:30 a.m. for a study of Joshua.
CONFIRMATION…begins this Wednesday, September 13, with Vespers at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Confirmand & Parent Meeting.
CHOIR:  Join us for choir every Wednesday, following Vespers (approximately 7:15 p.m.)  For this first rehearsal we meet in the basement room with the organ in it.  Parents with students in confirmation will miss the first rehearsal in order to attend the confirmation orientation class in the Sanctuary.
VOTER'S MEETING…next Sunday, September 17, during Sunday School / Bible Study hour.  All confirmed members of Holy Cross are encouraged to attend.
FLOWER BOUQUET, LEMONADE AND COOKIE STAND: Several children from Holy Cross hosted a stand on Labor Day.  They collected $81 in free will donations which will go towards the Siberian Lutheran Mission.
