Announcements for May

CONFIRMATION RECEPTION:   Please join us for a  confirmation reception Sunday, May 2nd after the 9:00 service.  James Ikenberry and Cora Feldt will be confirmed.  James chose Ephesians 2:8-9 as his verse and Cora selected Romans 6:4.  Reception will be in the Narthex.  There WILL BE Sunday school and Adult Study.

FOOD PANTRY:  The local area Girls and Boy Scouts delivered items for the food pantry on Sat.  Since they weren't able to collect these things last year, it appears people thought "we'd better give more this year."   And they did!  Now we have the awesome challenge of sorting it by year, boxing and storing it on our shelves.
 
My plan is to be there Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 until however long people are able to  help.  I'll be there Wednesday after 12:30.   People can come any time that works best for them and stay as long as they want to. It will be "come and go".

ROOFING PROJECT: Volunteers needed to assist in the shelter house and garage roofing project.  We will be reaching out to those who indicated an interest in helping last fall.  Many helpers will be needed.  Contact Cheryl Dee for details.

YOUTH: The youth will be hosting a fundraiser for their trip to the July Higher Things Conference in Fort Collins Colorado.  Watch for details.  See Samantha Fett for more information.

GIVING PLUS APP: As you make your summer plans for travel and vacation, consider using the Giving Plus app to continue your regular offerings. The app is easy to use and does not cost the church or you anything to use.  See John Feldt for details.

WEBSITE UPDATES: The tech team would like to introduce you to the updated Holy Cross Lutheran Website.  Portions are still under construction, but we invite you to take a tour and give us your feedback.  See Jeremiah Bolin or Kathryn Feldt for Details.
