Lent

“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster." Joel 2:12-13
It has been a long two years of disinfecting, mask wearing and social distancing.  But thanks be to God, confidence is growing that God has indeed relented over the disaster of the pandemic.  Realizing this, now is an excellent time to return to the House of the Lord with humble repentance. Tomorrow is a great opportunity to give thanks to our God for being with us in the midst of the cares and troubles of this world.  Therefore, do not forget the joy of receiving God's own forgiveness, hearing His Word and participating in the Sacrament of the Altar together as we journey towards Good Friday and Easter.

Lenten Services begin tomorrow at 6:30 pm with the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion.  Lenten services continue with Divine Service on Sunday and Vespers each Wednesday.

Jesus be with you!
